“The Painter’s brush consumes his dreams” W.B. Yeats

Posted in News / by: Donna Senft

When you have time on your hands, and you think of getting in the car to go shopping or you think you might want to clean the garage out, but you find it is raining, think for a minute and get out a fresh piece of paper. What have you been dreaming lately. What do you visualize hanging over your fireplace…to freshen up your look. Do you have a relative that you would like to surprise with a piece of art that you made yourself as a gift. Touch someone with something personal that you made with your own hands. Dream about the reaction that someone will have when you present them with a painting you have created…..you can shop tomorrow or another day. Make this day count in a different way. Consider color combinations, design factors, shapes, themes, and come up with something completely fresh and follow through with your idea. Work through the problems and set a goal to finish in a reasonable amount of time. Exercise your right brain…and find out what has been consuming your dreams. d.

Over the years, I have matted and framed my own art. I am able to cut glass, matts and order a variety of custom frames to put a designers touch on any piece of art. I can advise you of different techniques and ways of dealing with petite point, hockey jerseys, photography or shadowboxing golf clubs, medals or other paraphernalia. No job is too small.
